Ashe/Basch and Basch/Penelo have to live in two completely separate head canons/universes, so please do not combine the two. Pick one or the other and focus on it though and I will be happy as a clam, which is also why I offered the & (friendship) options for these pairings as well.

Marianne Dashwood/John Willoughby: Please do not have Marianne pining endlessly for Willoughby in what I would like to be a Marianne/Brandon love story. I am perfectly fine with her reflecting on their relationship and her own behavior, and some pining is to be expected, I absolutely get that. Pre-Canon Fluff: What was their relationship like when Ashe was a young girl? Did Basch know/protect/fight alongside any of her brothers before they died?
Training/Fighting/Sparring: This is one of my favorite tropes ever. It can be her first learning a weapon when she's a kid, or them training and rebuilding trust when they're on the road to Archadia. It can be post-canon, when maybe they sneak a late night training session after Basch becomes Gabranth and spar in private so he can protect his identity. Bonus points if the sparring (when Ashe is older) leads to some hot sex.
Loyalty/Trust Kink: Doesn't have to be sexual, but definitely another favorite trope of mine with these two. Basch will bring down the moon to protect this woman. And I will read ANYTHING he does along those lines. Conversely, Ashe learning to give her loyalty to him is equally as important. Are there ways in which she not only allows him to sacrifice himself for her, but she willingly does this for him later?
Post-Canon AU/Divergence/Fix-it: In my FFXII series, The Kingfishers (Ao3), I plan on exploring what and how long it would take to have Basch exonerated for his supposed crimes, with Ashe and Larsa playing a big part in that. In that year between the Bahamut and Ashe's coronation, what does Larsa have Basch up to? Does he genuinely try to become Gabranth? Who else knows the secret? And if they can't keep it up, does he remain in charge of the 9th Bureau, or does he perhaps gain a new role in the Empire? And--ultimately--how does this affect his relationship with and loyalty to Ashe? Do they eventually find a way to be together? Do they become lovers in secret? Do they ever have kids, and if so, are they Basch's as Basch, or Basch's as Gabranth? SO MANY POSSIBILITIES!
Inclusion of the Occuria and Espers: There is SO much lore to be tapped into here, and I would love to see how the connections made with the Espers affect the characters and how they interact with one another, make decisions, or even religious/political unrest as a subplot to why maybe Ashe and Basch have a hard time getting together.
High Stakes Trials: Missions, Battles, Tournaments, Diplomatic Meetings, Balls/Dancing, ANY OF IT ALL OF IT.
Setting Change AUs: adding elements to canon like wings, eldritch horror, supernatural elements etc. but keeping it in the FFXII canon? Yes.
Explicit Content: Yes please. I will be just as happy with gen fic, but if you're going to do romance and you're comfortable with it, I would LOVE it.
Recursive/Remix Fics: This is a new pairing for me and I'm obsessed. I've written a few pieces exploring both in-game Penelo crushing on Basch thinking it could never happen (In the Confusion), he could never see her that way (Girl; Her First Choice, A Hideaway With A View), to some post-canon stuff exploring how she might have done some things to persuade him to start looking at her differently (For Lack of Attention, (Re)United, and TKO: An Interlude). I would be completely open to seeing how you interpret other events in this timeline, with Basch remaining in Archades as Gabranth, and Penelo coming into womanhood, sky piracy, but ultimately yearning for a home.
Heavy/Healer Kink: I mean you've got the perfect pair of the heavy-hitter and the medic/healer right here, at least in my mind. Give them some in-canon situations/scrapes where they play on that with some unrequited (or requited unrequited) tension and I'm sat for it.
Post-Canon AU/Divergence/Fix-it: This goes along with my recursive/remix prompts--what would a relationship between these two look like post-canon? I feel like they work because Penelo has the freedom, while Basch has the anonymity, but he is still a loyal soldier and she's (at least kind of/partly) a criminal, so it's got some star-crossed lover flair. ALSO, it hits on both my Age Gap and Size Difference kinks that are basically bulletproof, and to me the idea of them fumbling through a domestic relationship while they are in a situation that is FAR from domestic just gives me all the feels and I want it.

FANDOM SPECIFIC NOTE: Some people have only had the movie or the miniseries as their reference for Sense and Sensibility, but if you have read the original book, that is the version I prefer. I still love the movie version though, and so I have requested it as well in case I am matched with someone who has only seen the movie!
End-Canon Fluff: What was their courtship like? Both the movie and the book are so sparse about this, but I absolutely adore Brandon's subdued smitten energy, and then wanting to see Marianne go from barely noticing him at all to finally seeing him as a person worth knowing, to finally esteeming him in friendship and realizing oh hey, this is actually the great basis of a healthy marriage, THANK YOU ELINOR I GET IT NOW.
The Proposal: How did Brandon finally propose? When? How did Marianne respond? How much did she feel for him at that point?
Conflict and Setbacks: I know that their engagement and marriage weren't always sunshine and roses, especially with different personalities and interests. how do they deal with these things as a couple?
The Realization: When/How did Marianne finally realize that she was actually in love with her husband? How did she react? Give me all the fluff and romance.
Post-Canon Fic Ideas: Wedding, Wedding Night!!, Family/Parenting/Kid Fic, Pregnancy, Slice of Life, Holidays with the Ferrarses, Visiting London, Years-Later seeing the Willoughbys in Town, anything you can come up with. And I adore Slice-of-Life fic.
Explicit Content: You know what, yes please. If you want to keep it more in line with Austen-Style Romance, nothing above a T rating/fade to black, that is PERFECTLY fine with me as long as there's some good romance nuggets in there. But if you're going to do romance and you're comfortable with it, I would LOVE it for these two since they hit my bulletproof Age Gap like. Maybe keep it more on the vanilla side for Marianne's sake, but either way I'm stoked!

This was my nomination, and it is forever inspired by a mix of Dragon's Bait by Vivian Van Velde and The Enchanted Forest Chronicles by Patricia C. Wrede, but as I am requesting this as original work it is not required to be familiar with either of those canons and please feel free to interpret the prompt however you choose, with your own worldbuilding! Use my general/nsfw likes as a guide but otherwise I just really like the idea of a prejudiced dragon who CAN shapeshift into a human to better bond with their servant, but refuses to because gross, human. OH MAN A PRIDE AND PREJUDICE--no. Yes. ...whatever you want. Lighthearted and fluffy, or darker and more dubious or action packed. But give me a little romance and/or smut or at least some relationship building and I'm happy as a clam.
This obviously has Enemies to Lovers written all over it, but also a lot of room for shenanigans with the Princess trying to foil him or runaway at every turn, maybe she's super feisty and has no qualms about trying to kill him to get away either. Or you could go the route of spunky super naive princess who is just STOKED to get out of the country and see the rest of the world. There is tons of room for worldbuilding here as well, I will NEVER say no to an intricate plot centered around a rich setting.
Another plot ripe for shenanigans, whether you go cutesy or darker, I'm game for it all. Has more of a Friends to Lovers vibe, or Requited Unrequited, or you know what I'm not going to box you in here. You get the gist.
I saw this prompt in another exchange and now I'm OBSESSED with the idea. I love the idea of an older, battle-worn pirate somehow coming across a young maiden (could be noble, could just be a naive commoner of some sort) who hero worships the idea of piracy to the point of totally getting off on the idea of being ravished by one, and him honestly not knowing how to deal with that. take it wherever you want, G-E rating, it's all delicious.
Feel free to take lots of time to build up the god's backstory, do some religion worldbuidling if you like. And the girl can be anything from some random, to a priestess, to an intended tribute offering, whatever you like. What does he do when he finds out she knows the truth? What does SHE do with the truth?
This is wide open for hilarity but also some pretty interesting situations I think. I don't have much specifics to request, I just know the potential of it really hit me and if it calls to you to write five figures, then heck yeah I'm going to eat it up!
This feels like the epitome of my hilarious miscommunications trope that I love. I would love to see some alien worldbuilding here too, where his culture has deeply implanted this idea somehow that being defeated means concubine and/or why is it so upsetting when that is not the case?! Maybe he doesn't understand his feelings just as much as anyone else does. Give me Adrian Tchaikovsky style explore-humanity-through-the-eyes-of-non-humans character development!
You can go SUPER dark here if you like (with at least an ambiguous ending), or you can go redemption route and give me something happy, but either way I'm very interested to see how this one would go!

These two nomination combinations were mine, and then the crew on an exploratory space mission was a nomination I felt fit in really well for the vibe I was going for.

While I don't think I'm that great at writing it, I am forever in love with weird and alien explorations of humanity, seeing humans through alien eyes. For the longest time, I've had a fic idea in my mind of a crew on a self-sufficient space station that has traveled to a world where they have discovered life, and come in contact with entities that are mostly comprised of light and energy but are somehow still sentient. The flora and fauna of the world have adapted to digest/photosynthesize radiation, and there are also entities that the humans can use to genetically modify themselves with through a symbiotic relationship. It's...a lot and like my other prompts I don't want to box you in. But basically if you're a fan of Final Fantasy games (i.e.-the use of summons, espers, eidolons, etc.) or games with similar mechanics of becoming super-human through symbiosis (my favorite right now is Warframe), and then having to deal with the consequences of what that means, maybe this is a prompt worth exploring to you. And you don't HAVE to go that route! Go dark, go funny, I obviously would love to see your OWN lengthy take on something like this: friendships and alliances built, relationships and romances, but also where they disagree and have (potentially life-threatening) conflict. Feel free to world build the mess out of this.

Vampire: the Masquerade, for those that don't know, is a vast roleplaying world created by White Wolf that centers around the idea that all vampire lineage derives from Caine. The Vampires in this world belong to different clans, all with different strengths/abilities and different ideals, splitting them over the centuries into factions, all with a different belief and code of ethics on how to exist alongside the human race. The reason I love this world so much--aside from the fact that it was my first experience with building an original character and participating in cooperative writing/roleplaying--is that this world, and yes this prompt, is tailored in a way that it can be inserted into nearly any other world that you can think of, making it exceptional fodder for AUs, canon divergences, and inserting original characters into your favorite fictional worlds. The first time I ever wrote in this genre, it was in a V:tM/FFVIII crossover world and it is the gold standard by which I judge all other vampire stories. It is rich and vibrant, and if you love writing for creatures of the night and want an amazing base to build an original character from, this might be the prompt to use to do it!
You will have noticed I significantly cut my DNW list for this prompt. That is because Vampire: the Masquerade just inherently deals with a lot of dark, grim, and gruesome themes and I do not want to limit anyone who wants to write for it to a happy ending that doesn't fit in a happy world. That being said, I'd love for whatever you choose to include to serve the plot in some way. Now for the prompts!
Character Creation is probably one of my favorite things to do, ever, especially when supernatural/fantasy elements are involved. I used to spend more of my time creating characters than actually writing for them, and while that's not what I expect you to do, there is an immense joy in building a backstory for a character that is all your own in a world that is already prebuilt with some fun guide rails. What was their life like before their Embrace? How did they draw the attention of their Sire? Did the Sire stick around to teach and train them, or were they left abandoned to their own devices? How did they cope after the Embrace? What shapes them now as a member of the Undead?
Listen, I'm a sucker for a romance of any kind, I can't help it. The difference here is that by the nature of immortality and the Curse, these kinds of romances are going to be inherently darker and a little (lot) more toxic in a lot of ways. They don't HAVE to be, but there's a lot more freedom here for some straight up Dead Dove themes if it tickles your fancy to write something along those lines. Each of these characters can be of the same clan, different clans, Sire and Childe, Different Sects/Factions, Factions infiltrating other Factions, etc. Just the clan descriptions alone really set up some great scenarios for an intriguing romance of any kind, but them put them in whatever world you want to build.
This is along the same lines as the romance prompt, except in this one a Ghoul is a servant or retainer or familiar of some kind in your Vampire character's thrall by being kept alive, but also being fed their Sire's blood. Ghouls are human and can move about in the daytime and many Vampires have them in order to pull the strings from behind the scenes, particularly in clans that are Masquerade-bound. I would prefer with this prompt that power dynamics outside of a romance be explored here, but can still be within whatever world or time period your prefer. These two will be of the same clan though instead of picking different clans for each.

Incest/Pseudo-Incest Opt-In: UNDERSTAND YOU DON'T HAVE TO. But it is an option that I welcome exploration of in longfic form because let's face it, the Dessendre's have a lot of baggage. I'm seated for an unpacking. See my Verso/Maelle prompt below for more thoughts and ideas.
I'm very interested in Maelle/Alicia as a character, from both the Canvas side of Maelle, to the Real World side of Alicia. I'm fully into this prompt as a character study, history, world build, full throttle Maelle-centered development. What are her skills as a paintress before the events of the game? What is her relationship with/to The Writers? What is her relationship like with the other members of her family? And via Verso's ending, what becomes of Alicia in that world? Via Maelle's ending, does she LIVE in the canvas now? Does she hop back and forth? Give me all the theories and details. AUs and Canon Divergence are also very exciting to me! THERE ARE OBVIOUSLY OTHER PAINTINGS!
This kind of goes hand in hand with my solo Maelle prompt, with similar dynamics as the pairing prompt below, but COMPLETELY sans incest/pseudo-incest. Sibling dynamics are so fun to explore, whether they be tight knit and loving or completely messy and manipulative. I want to see more of these two navigating the unique situation of Maelle and Verso acquainting themselves with each other a la Act II, to Maelle ACTUALLY being Alicia in Act III and trying to navigate a relationship with a Verso who is ultimately Verso but not HER Verso. Feel free to please insert any and all of the other party members or family members as needed too, I need all the wonderful relationship dynamics (and more more more more Esquie and Monoco <3).
Okay. So the potential of this, for me, kind of hinges on the idea that Canvas Verso is Maman's Verso, not anyone else's. I mean we saw how she painted Alicia, and Clea completely painted over Aline's version of Canvas Clea because she didn't like it/wanted to use it to her own ends. I can easily envision Aline painting Verso as her beautiful, perfect golden child, and painting assets of his personality that she loved, like his cunning, without thought of the consequences, i.e. Painted Verso's proclivity for deception. Painted Verso is A VERSION of Verso, while Maelle IS Alicia. And as Alicia's memories begin to flood Maelle, what feelings surface that Maman WOULDN'T know or wouldn't WANT to paint in her children for her new Canvas Family? So you can really take this back and forth from the Real to the Canvas world given the nature of the longfic format if you like. And how involved/informed Clea is/was might be some food for thought too given her role in...well, all of it. Play with Verso's Ending, play with Maelle's Ending, AUs and Canon Divergence are also really exciting to me given the nature of the world this narrative is already built in. I am very interested in the psychology of it all, and the incest/pseudo-incest here also does NOT have to be explicit or even acted on at all. Sad, ill-fated, unrequited/requited unrequited pining and angst is sooooo good too.
